Michael Grubbs: "This show marked a serious turn in the band's sound.  It's so amazing to me that we lucked into such an amazing recording of it. I had dreamt of playing this venue since I first moved to the city, and it was everything I thought it would be and more. We also were lucky to be joined by Greg and Crash, from one of my favorite bands, Lowry.
They elevated the sound to a whole new place, resulting in a newer bigger sound we still use to this day."

On a sweaty summer night Wakey!Wakey! played their first ever show at the beautiful Bowery Ballroom (06.24.08). We captured the night for you to hear. The sound was amazing, the performance energetic and passionate, and the night marked a big step for the band with a Spin.com feature as a "Catch the Buzz" artist the following week.
